Open/Newscast/Credits
- Mushing Program. The school in Tuluksak has its own
dog team, and incorporates mushing and other dog-related activities into its

- Budgets. A year ago, there were dire predictions that
budget cuts would wipe out most activities; that hasn’t happened, but money

- 300 villages. Featuring Nunapitchuk, Northway, and
King Salmon.
Break #1: “Avalanche” performed by Susitna Valley school
band, composed by Jonathan McBride.
- Petersburg Debate/Drama. Petersburg’s program was
dropped because of funding – but this year, due to student demand, its back.

- South African Music. A group from South Africa is in
